Introduction to Needle Arts: Embroidery, Needlepoint, Crewel, and Cross Stitch

This June, discover the joy of “Slow Stitching” Needle Arts. Join Greene County Makers to learn the basics of Embroidery, Needlepoint, and Cross-Stitch. We’ll identify the tools necessary to create inspired designs, learn how to read patterns, and practice multiple types of stitches to complete future projects.

Join us for a 4-session course on Tuesdays in June: June 9, June 16, June 23, and June 30, from 5:00 to 7:00. Class begins around 5:15pm.

No experience necessary. All materials provided.

Topics include:
June 9: Identify types of needle art, tools, and learn the basic stitches of Embroidery.
June 16: Match tools with different styles of needle art, and learn the basic stitches of Needlepoint and Cross Stitch.
June 23: Read patterns and designs, learn creative stitches for all types of Needle Art.
June 30: Select the best type of project for you. Find inspiration for future work. Learn how to create your own designs.
