Our group is not a “Guild” really.
We are just a community of artists who work with fabric and fibers. We gather to have workshops, given by members of the group, on various techniques, including quilting techniques (i.e., sewing, piecing, applique, foundation paper-piecing, English paper-piecing, hand quilting, and applique using fusible products) and fiber techniques (i.e., paper-making, macramé, crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, garment-making, rug-making, felting, and weaving).
We also have a sewing machine expert on hand, if you need help using your machine.
There are members at all levels and we welcome anyone who is interested in any of these arts.
In addition to classes and workshops, our group produces items for inclusion in fundraising events held by the Greene County Maker’s Space. Members also hold classes for the public on various techniques – check the calendar!
We’ve already added events listings for 8/18, 9/1, and 9/15, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, and hopefully can maintain every-other-week for the foreseeable future!
