Greene County Makers is a place that encourages the maker spirit in every person, recognizing the art of making as a means of individual empowerment and creating connections within our community.

We envision something that is part craft school, part tech lab, and very much a business incubator.

What is a Maker Space?

A maker space is a physical location where people can gather to work on creative projects, collaborate with others, and access a variety of tools, equipment, and resources to bring ideas to life. Greene County Makers is open to individuals with diverse interests, skills, and backgrounds, and serves as a community hub for innovation and DIY (do-it-yourself) activities.

What is a Maker?

A “maker” is a term often used to describe individuals or communities of people who are known for their resourcefulness, creativity, and a desire to design, build, and tinker with a wide range of projects. Makers share their knowledge and creations and help each other bring ideas to life.

The maker movement celebrates innovation, hands-on learning, and a DIY (do-it-yourself) spirit. Greene County Makers promotes the idea that anyone can be a creator and encourages individuals to explore their interests and turn their ideas into tangible objects.

What do Makers Make?

Projects can span various areas, including electronics, woodworking, 3D printing, robotics, arts and crafts, and more.

What Tools Does a Maker Use?

A Maker is able to use high-tech to no-tech tools and supplies in a creative way.

Greene County Makers is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
